2021 Electrochemistry Publication Status, Most Downloaded Papers, and Most Cited Papers

We are pleased to inform you of the publication status of Electrochemistry for the fiscal year 2021, as well as the top papers in terms of the number of downloads and citations.

 

1. Status of Publication in 2021

  • Number of submissions

      134, of which 88 have been published or accepted,

      43 rejected or withdrawn, 3 under review.

  • Number of publications

      102 (Vol. 89, No. 1-6)

  • Acceptance rate

      67.1% (excluding undecided cases)

  • Number of citations

      1,352 times, of which 191 times for papers published in 2018-2019 (174 papers)

      (Provisional JIF=1.098)

  • Average time from submission to publication: 28.3 days
  • Number of downloads of papers published on J-STAGE

      866,948 times (Vol.67-89, including early release)

  90,597 times (since Vol. 86)

 

2. Most downloaded papers

Based on the access information of J-STAGE provided by JST, the number of downloads of all the articles published in Electrochemistry (including early release papers) since Vol. 67 (1999) was counted every two months and annually.

 

In principle, original papers are included. Award-winning papers such as the Takei Award are excluded.

Certificates will be issued to the top three papers every two months.

Papers that have been ranked in the top three once will be excluded from the list.

 

In principle, original papers (including papers commemorating awards) are included in the list.

The top 10 papers for which a certificate is issued will be included.

 

3. Most cited papers

The top 10 papers in the number of citations in 2021 and the top papers in the number of citations in each year consecutively are tabulated based on the access information of J-STAGE provided by JST among all the articles published in Electrochemistry (including early release papers) since Vol. 67 (1999). The number of citations in 2021 was calculated based on the access information received from J-STAGE. The papers that have been ranked in the top 10 of the citation count since last year are excluded from the list and added to the list of the most cited papers. Please refer to the following link for the results.

 

The top 10 most cited papers (including review papers and synthesis papers) in 2021 according to the access statistics of J-STAGE provided by JST. In the first year, all the papers ranked in the top 10 are included, but from 2021 onward, if a paper is ranked in the top 10 once and occupies the top 10 consecutively, it is excluded from the list and shifted to the list of the most cited papers in the next section.

 

Continuously highly cited papers are those papers that have been cited the most in each year. In the first issue (2020), all papers that have been cited in the top positions for five or more consecutive years since the publication of Electrochemistry (1999) will be included, whereas in 2021 and after, all papers that have been cited in the top positions for five or more consecutive years will be included.

 

Certificates will be sent to the authors of the papers listed above in PDF format.
