A publication process of Electrochemistry issued by The Electrochemical Society of Japan (ECSJ) will be improved to apply to Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) with “Best Practice” in order to realize a credible open access (OA) journal. The following improvements will be partially introduced in Vol. 89, No. 6 issued on November 5, 2021, and fully implemented from Vol. 90 published in 2022. In addition, Editorial Manager and Instructions for Authors will be revised sequentially. These revisions will be made in response to the release of the new functions of the J-STAGE editorial submission system in September 2020.
